LOUISVILLE, KY.,(December 3, 2024)–On GivingTuesday, the teams at ۲ݮƵapp, as well as Oak Grove Racing and Gaming and Ellis Park Racing and Gaming contributed to the spirit of the day by surprising several worthy nonprofit organizations with contributions to assist in the mission of these nonprofit organizations. Those organizations included:

GivingTuesday was founded in 2012 in New York City and has since grown to become one of the largest days of charitable giving worldwide. Held each year on the Tuesday After Thanksgiving, it has become one of the most recognized charitable events of the 21st century. “CDI and our properties are privileged to be able to contribute to our communities during GivingTuesday” said Mark Whitten, Director of Community Relations for CDI. “Though charitable giving is a priority for CDI and our properties all year long, it is so important to take a day to focus on the unique power of philanthropy”.
In addition to the GivingTuesday gifts, the team at CDI organized a Holiday Gift drive benefitting Maryhurst. Team members brought in toys and gifts for the children that Maryhurst serves, who may otherwise not have had Christmas gifts this year. “The Maryhurst Gift drive has become a treasured tradition at CDI” Whitten explained. “Our team members look forward each year to signing up to bring a child a Christmas gift, and it’s truly inspiring to see how many of our team members care so deeply about helping these kids have a great Christmas”.
